MODERNIZE OUR MINDSET By Willie Mell When I was working with ExxonMobil Corporation, I was taught a life changing lesson - to adapt! At ExxonMobil there is no language, sex, race or nationality. Everyone is equal, and ExxonMobil's culture is change and adaptation. If you're rigid, there's no place for you!. I remember, one time a senior petroleum engineer who just arrived from the US but sadly got terminated forthwith because he didn't put on his seatbelt. Very insignificant rule, isn't it? Thing is simply he didn't comply with conditions he had agreed and signed.. Him coming from the same country didn't matter to ExxonMobil!. The principle ExxonMobil learnt over time from US is adaptation and change that gives ExxonMobil the competitive edge!
